When the iPhone came out everyone went bananas over the so-called iDating phenomenon, so it’s no shock someone has found a way to sneak Twitter into the online love game. Case in point — radaroo, a new Twitter dating app. You tweet your gender, preferred date’s gender, zip code, and a series of interests. After you submit your status you wait while Radaroo detects it and lets others know you are single and ready to mingle. The service is free, seems painless enough and doesn’t require a complicated dating site profile. The notion of scoping out a cutie’s tweets to get to know him sounds dreamy, but I can’t say I share my greatest insights on Twitter. Would you be open to tweet love?

So, the hairdryer, when I opened it out of the package was incredibly lightweight and high quality.

I loved that the cord was durable and long so I wouldn’t be tugging on it as I worked on my hair. The annoying noise isn’t an issue with this dryer because it’s so soothing and quiet. The dryer made my hair noticeably smooth and silky though it effectively dried my hair in half the time it took with my normal ceramic dryer.

Normally you have to get out the cutting tools to fight through the packaging to get your treasured iron out of the box! The iron has a durable, long cord that swivels so no snagging occurs during your hair ironing process, and the iron itself is super lightweight.

When I plugged it in, the iron picked up heat fast. Takes about 25 seconds to heat up. This is great for late mornings or if you need to be ready for events. Since the beginning of the internet, online romance has been a cliche we giggle about in office corridors, along with internet stalkers and pedophile stories (thanks MSNBC). We hear of Myspace marriages and Second Life dating, and think to ourselves, “No way am I doing that“. But, with the growth of social media, our personal involvement in the tech scene, and the evolution of the internet, the nagging stigma of online romance is quickly dying. In fact, I’d have to say when we refer to our “internet friends”, it’s no longer a chuckling matter. Relevance and value has been a focus for many of us in the social media scene, so relationships actually mean something here. Speaking of your ‘friends’ online should not incite a chuckle from the family these days.

So we’ve been hearing and experiencing the positive karma of using Twitter. Friendships, business relationships, and collaborations have developed because we connect and friend others on the microblogging tool. Endless books and guides have been written to tell others how to monetize on the magic that is Twitter, but to find love?

Is that possible?

“Awhile back, I wrote an article to help out those who felt they needed some tips in the fashion department… namely men. While out and about at some recent tech events, I met a few of you that wanted to know when the article for women would be posted. I admit, I was shocked. Since moving to Los Angeles, I haven’t seen such a city of well-dressed women in my life. Call it a by-product of living next to movie stars whose job is to look good, but the trickle down effect of style seems to have done well for everyone. I was assured, however, that there are some women who could benefit from the knowledge of someone as well put together as myself. *ahem*

After reading Casey McKinnon’s article on helping women buy the best clothes, I wasn’t really sure what I could add to the topic. I have been known to have mild panic attacks preceding events over what to wear and my daily wardrobe can sometimes consist of a rotation of jeans and hoodies. I do have some aces up my sleeve on how to get myself presentable for every occasion even if my budget doesn’t always allow me that “perfect” Marc Jacobs dress I’ve been drooling over.”
